Does anybody know where you can buy granulated brown sugar in Toronto?

Do you mean demerara sugar? It's available in major supermarkets (often in the "health food" aisle) and in natural foods stores. It's not interchangeable with regular brown sugar for baking and cooking so be careful if planning to do so.

Natural, organic cane sugar (which Youngeman is referring to) is slightly golden in colour and can be used in place of conventional granulated sugar in any recipe.
