Taconic (sp?) diner just of Taconic Pkwy

Any dealings at this location? A real diner?

  1. Yes..good solid diner food. Good pancakes, homemade fries. We have not gone too far from the basics but always good and fresh. In the summer months there is a frozen custard stand outside. Old school interior,huge counter and all!

      1. A real bit of Americana, that place. I traveled the Taconic regularly during the 90s and made several enjoyable stops under the neon chief. Haven't been there in years but happily it sounds as if things haven't changed much over there. And that's a good thing in my book.

        Didn't know about the frozen custard, though. It's a favorite of mine, and there isn't much of it to be found in the Capital Region where I live. Thanks for pointing that out, apples.

          Another good pit stop is Flory's on the Run Mobil North & Taconic Deli
          Flory's Deli is located inside the Mobile gas station 1563 Rte 82
          Hopewell Junction, NY 12533, great fried chicken and curly fries, tuna, cole slaw... soft serve available in the summer, tables outside
