We were in a BBQ mood at lunch time in Bakersfieldand I could not remember Fred's.....I remembered that it was a common name, so we went to Famous Dave's BBQ. The ribs were very good, the brisket, not so much. We liked all of the BBQ sauces! My son's almost $9 cheesebuger should have been better for the price, but it was OK.

The drive up the grapevine after lunch was not fun--construction until Nov. 2012 will slow things down.
