Help! Foodies in palm springs

a

Hi all,
My husband and I are staying at the Parker, which has great food. The problem is we are here for 6 days and need some new places to go. We live love cheeky's and love native foods. Anywhere else we should try ? We are looking for either farm to table, no chains, authentic Mexican or greasy spoons. Totally willing to drive outside of the area as well. By the way, went to purple palms, did not like, overpriced, jimmy Buffett ambience, definitely a tourist spot!

Thank you in advance!

Have traveled several years to Palm Springs area. Three suggestions that are our favorites:

    1) Jillian's-Palm Desert, it is expensive but great food and atmosphere. The locals who are well aware of it.

    2) Copely's-Palm Springs, very creative, excellent service.

    3) Shame on the Moon- Rancho Mirage-extremely reasonable for the quality of food, fun environment.

    Hope this helps.

Had a very good lunch at the stylish Escena golf club in Palm Springs.

You've got to try Jake's for either lunch or dinner--great weekend brunch too

Just north of Alejo on Palm Canyon North in design district. Just past Tschotkes consignment. Charming garden bistro with musters outside for hot days and inside seating too. Great bar too.

Can't wait to try Cheeky's...did you have a good time?

Anyone been to Morgan's at La Quinta Resort?

Morgan's was good. It's been more than a year since I've been though.
For the OP I'd recommend Le Valarius in PS. And I just recently had a fantastic meal at Lavender in old town La Quinta. I had a delicious not on the menu salad, a very fresh and yummy tuna tartare, and a still-dreaming-about-it mushroom soup with truffle oil. I went with a couple girlfriends and can't wait to return for a date night with the hubs!
