The Beach Vs. The Danforth

spine64 May 18, 2012 07:04 AM

Looking for a fun day in the city. Looking to do some walking and dining. A light lunch and dinner will be required. Thought these two areas would be a great introduction to an out of town friend who has been to neither. Any suggestions would be great. She loves to walk and is open to all dining options.

For a full day/afternoon-evening, start at Queen and Broadview and walk east through Riverside, Leslieville and then hit the Beaches. Cover a lot of ground, it's a beautiful walk and there's a zillion places to eat and drink. Do a food crawl, I say.

PS: stop in for a latte at Te Aro- it'll change your world.

I was going to suggest the same but in reverse order. Better dinner options in Leslieville :) Grab sandwiches at Brick St for a picnic lunch in the Beach.

Ok, sounds great. A long leisurely walk sounds perfect.
