SD26 like? Scarpetta? For a Philly couple.

being from phila we tend to eat in small byobs with great food and plain, casual environment. So in ny we try and go for something different; great food of course but bigger, cooler, great looking, vibrant vibe without breaking the bank.
Really liked SD26 last visit. Have a reservation at Scarpetta over mem day weekend. Would that fit our bill?
Staying in the Village so close by is a plus. Doesn't have to be Italian , just not Mexican or Asian. Thanks!

Scarpetta is a great choice.

If you're also considering midtown look into Marea and Lincoln.
