Portland Maine Saturday Lunch

  • 4

I am visiting the Portland Maine area for a weekend - I have my dinner and brunch plans made, but would like a Saturday lunch venue. I would prefer something bistro-ish, perhaps with a slow-food/local tie. No Gritty McDuff's, no Geno's chower house etc. please.

Thanks in advance!

  1. I'll throw out the obligatory Duckfat. Not exactly bistro-ish, but pretty far from Gritty's....

That's on my short list!! Thanks : )

    2. Here's a few more - all have some outdoor seating if it's a nice day.
      Downtown (Arts District)
Petite Jacqueline - As bistro-ish as you're going to get
      Local 188

      Old Port
Grill Room - I don't really think of this as a "bistro" but a good lunch.
      Farmer's Table

You will not be rushed in any of these places at lunch time. Note: Saturday might be a "brunch" menu at some of these.

Awesome thanks, had trouble finding some of the websites, but great suggestions!
