Looking for Mendocino or Sonoma Farms!

My boyfriend and I are going on a 4 day vacation up to Mendocino and down through Sonoma. Spending 2 nights in Mendocino and 1 night in Sonoma.

We would like to visit some farms, creameries, fisheries etc. We do our best to eat local and would love to see where our food comes from. I have been having a tough time figuring out where to go, there are a lot of farms but its hard to tell if they are open to having visitors.

Do you have any suggestions on farms or food purveyors that would be fun to visit??

Oak Hill farm in Glen Ellen, just outside Sonoma - just started oding tours - I tink it might only be once a month but you could contact them to check

You may want to start with the Sonoma County Farm Trails map which has info on farms open to the public and special events. When you see some that interest you, you might want to post another query here to ask about others' experiences at that locale.

Melanie, Thank you for your informative response. Both of those guides will really help me out. Hopefully I can find a similar guide for Mendocino.
