Brunch Suggestions - Brooklyn Bridge or High Line

bc1079 May 16, 2012 11:24 AM

Hello all,
I am entertaining people in town this weekend and figured brunch and walking the brooklyn bridge is a good call. I know very few spots in the seaport area or stone that have good food. Can anyone suggest some brunch places that arent too far from the bridge. If that falls through - i figure brunch and then walk highline - suggestions for that?

If dim sum appeals, there's Dim Sum Go Go, about a 10-minute walk from the Manhattan side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

I haven't been yet but I know Gran Electrica in DUMBO just started serving lunch and they have an outdoor graden. Could be perfect for this upcoming warm weather weekend...followed by a walk across the bridge into Manhattan.

On the Brooklyn side of the bridge, both in Brooklyn Heights are Jack the Horse Tavern and Colonie. Jack the Horse is closer to the bridge. While Colonie is a little farther, you can walk along the esplanade with a terrific view of the river and lower Manhattan. Assuming you have the energy, you should walk the esplanade in any case.
