  1. The Shack in Playa.

Big Mike's on Main in El Segundo does perhaps the best Philly Cheesesteak in SoCal. Their burgers look good but I haven't tried them. Good light-battered onion rings.

Hinano in the last block from the beach on Washington does a great burger in a divy bar setting, but parking is difficult.

Second City Bistro in El Segundo does a great burger as well.

Third Hinano. Everyone in there is having a burger and a beer. It's perfect.

        2. Houston's Manhattan Beach has a good burger, I also like the Louie burger at North End Cafe in
MB with brie, bacon, herb salad, creole mojo,
My Favorite is Pann's on LaTijera Blvd near LAX for the best 2/3 pound patty melt in LA.

          1. I like the burger at Sunny Spot.

            1. Yes to 26 Beach, the best burger in the area you mentioned.
Thompkins Square, a gastro pub, is another option. Hinano serves a good burger, but it's a true dive bar.

              1. People rave about the burger at Hungry Cat. There is one in Santa Monica.

The burger at Rustic Canyon (in Santa Monica) is exceptional; I believe they have a special "burger night" too.

                2. Richmond Street Bar & Grille in El Segundo is my favorite. Their homemade potato chips are great too. They have odd hours so make sure to check first.

                  1. Secondary votes for Hinano and 26 Beach

                    1. 26 Beach is good but too fancy for me. The good old traditional burger specials at Islands located at the Manhattan Beach Shopping Center would be my choice. Comes with unlimited fries too.
