Where is a good place to have a burger??

26 Beach is good but too fancy for me. The good old traditional burger specials at Islands located at the Manhattan Beach Shopping Center would be my choice. Comes with unlimited fries too.

Richmond Street Bar & Grille in El Segundo is my favorite. Their homemade potato chips are great too. They have odd hours so make sure to check first.

People rave about the burger at Hungry Cat. There is one in Santa Monica.

The burger at Rustic Canyon (in Santa Monica) is exceptional; I believe they have a special "burger night" too.

Yes to 26 Beach, the best burger in the area you mentioned.
Thompkins Square, a gastro pub, is another option. Hinano serves a good burger, but it's a true dive bar.

Big Mike's on Main in El Segundo does perhaps the best Philly Cheesesteak in SoCal. Their burgers look good but I haven't tried them. Good light-battered onion rings.

Hinano in the last block from the beach on Washington does a great burger in a divy bar setting, but parking is difficult.
