A Big Time Birthday meal
My birthday is coming up and I really want to have something fantastic this year. I tend to try and skip over my birthday and not do anything about it. However, my current boyfriend is not letting that happen, so I shall be brave and celebrate :) And if I am going to do it, why not go big, right? So I'm asking you chowhounders, where should I go. Here are some parameters to help with your suggestions. 1) I live in Portland so I don't want to go some where waayyy out there. 2) I love big flavors, hearty portions, and rich decadent food (I love melted cheese, a fried egg, or some kind of pork product on anything
). 3) I am VERY adventurous when it comes to food and love try quirky crazy things. Does that help? I hope so, I look forward to all ya'll replies and help :)

OX looks amazing, I lived in Argentina for a while so this is like an upscale version of all my favorites!
