Special Lunch in NYC

Looking for good food, not too stuffy, midtown/uptown restaurant for special occassion/bday lunch.

We've already done Le Bernadin, Eleven Madison Park, Modern...

    Marea- not stuffy (compared to the others)- park view and delicious.

      Since you are going to a stuffy part of town and you have mentioned 3 stuffy restaurants. The two choices listed below, Jean Georges and La Grenouille are perfect choices, and yes they are stuffy too, but hey, it is a special occasion.

          La Grenouille (a little stuffy, but it's an interesting scene to be sure).
