Midweek Lunch in Walnut area near Mt. SAC
Will be in the Walnut area, right near Mt. SAC for meetings next week. Need suggestions for three reasonably priced (preferably under $10 or $15) and tasty lunches. I care more about the food than the ambiance, but if there is a place I could work and eat and/or bring a colleague for a lunch meeting one day, that would be great too.
Open to pretty much any cuisine, though since I live in the Southbay would rather have things like dim sum that are less stellar here than say ramen. Am willing to drive a bit, but need to be able to get there and back and eat in 1 to 1.5 hours, so it can't be too far. Thanks!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Wound up having only two lunches--one at TacoNazo at one at Happy Harbor.
Dim sum at Happy Harbor was very good even at the tail end of lunch and I had some different items. I really enjoyed ordering off the menu though I missed some of the surprise/anticipation of the carts. We got there late and I know we would have been disappointed with what was left if it had been carts. It seemed a little expensive for dim sum, but we ordered really quickly so perhaps it was my ordering.
I had really been looking forward to TacoNazo as I am a huge fish taco fan. I had the fish and shrimp tacos. I have to say I was dissapointed. There was just way too much breading for me and the proportions were all wrong--too much filling made it impossible to eat Without a fork and a huge mess. I saw some shrimp ceviche go by that looked delicious, might go back to try that if I'm in the area again.

If you go north on Grand, over the hill and under the 10 Fwy, House of Louie (on the right) has dim sum.

re: laliz
Across the street from Mt. SAC there is Domo Sushi, which is very good and can't be beat for the price. They are typical rolls etc but the product is very good and cannot be beat for the price. In the Mt. SAC shopping center is El Taco Nazo and in the Village is Bella Napoli. Bella Napoli is pretty straight forward Italian with decent pizzas and salads and El Taco Nazo is great fish tacos. Depending on how much time you have, Rowalnd Heights is only about 10 minutes away and has a plethora of options. There is also a Claro's Italian market off of Citrus in Covina for sandwiches and an Old World Market in the Eastland shopping center for broasted chicken and what I hear is a decent salad bar.

Thanks for the suggestions, these are great! Dim sum, fish tacos, and Soon tofu/sushi depending on the weather will definitely improve the week.
Any particular suggestions to make the drive to Rowland Heights worth it? And is it really 10 minutes or is traffc a concern--I am really unfamiliar with the area.

I think if you take Amar to Nogales, then head South you can make it in 10 minutes. Be aware though, Rowland Heights is always full of traffic and the college can be a pain at times.
It is definitely worth the drive. I particularly like Happy Harbour for very good dim sum. Another note, this place can get packed at times and depending on the number in your party, there could be a wait.

If you can make it, take Grand to the I-10 and get off on Azusa and head North to Mr Pollo. They have great Peruvian chicken and other dishes. The place is not very great for a meeting though but the food is awesome.
Also, if you like Korean BBQ/Tofu there is a decent spot called Jeun Tong Tofu House on Amar and Nogales. This might be a great choice if the weather cools down a bit.
Both of these places are not kind on ambiance but the food more than makes up for it.
