Rome - Museo-Atelier Canova Tadolini

This place has now been written up in 2 magazines that I have seen in 2 days (Virtuoso + Travel and Leisure (June 2012)).

When I looked at the website they seem to have both a cafe and a restaurant. Wondering if anyone has been to either and can comment. The setting looks fabulous - just wondering how the dining compares.

  1. I haven't been in quite a few years, but the place is beautiful and it's nice for a rather retro change of pace. As a destination I see it more as a girlfriend place. Otherwise, it's good for stopping in during shopping. There's a bar downstairs that seemed to have nice sandwiches and pastries, restaurant upstairs with some un-Italian dishes, but I forget what. Sorry not to have more details, but I did like it. Oddly, had forgotten its existence until a couple of days ago when I thought about it (have not seen the articles).

Thanks Maureen. It certainly does look like a beautiful place to enjoy lunch.

    2. Amazing space. But the only place in Rome where I remember getting a really undrinkable cup of espresso.
