Dinner Party

I am hosting a Jack and Jill dinner party with 35 guests. I am serving shrimp, chicken and pork kabobs with 3 different kinds of rice dish. Do you think I need a salad if I have peppers, onions and tomatoes on the kabobs? Also, I have aharvest table with cheeses and crackers. Is four different butlered hor doevres enough?

What if you grilled the items you mentioned and then set out tabbouleh, hummus, pita and baba ghanoush?

It's a bridal shower for both the man and woman. that way you include the guys!

Yes, I'd have a green salad. Onions and peppers can be "reactionary" veggies for some people - either from strong flavor or what they can do to your insides.

And with the cheese and crackers (and maybe red grapes and dried apricots sprinkled around the cheeses?), 4 passed hors d'oeurves is good, IMO.

          Thanks Linda,

I was planning on adding grapes and some light dips to the cheese table. And I agree with your salad suggestion. Thanks!!
