Good kid-friendly restaurants in Frederick and/or Cumberland?

We're taking a family trip out to Cumberland from DC this wekeend and I'm hoping for some restaurant recommendations for Frederick (lunch) and Cumberland (dinner). We'll have 7 adults and 3 kids so I want to make reservations if possible. I'd love places that are both kid-friendly but with good food and beer/wine. Would love to check out local spots if possible. Outdoor seating would be great too. Any recommendations?? Thanks!

  1. Lunchbox is Bryan Voltaggio's casual panini place on the canal in Frederick. They have some larger tables but they don't take reservations (and I don't think they serve alcohol).

    1. I was pleasantly surprised by Isabella's Taverna a few months back on a day in Frederick. It's primarily a tapas place, although they have some entrees and sandwiches as well. Decent wine list, large dining room, lots to find for the kids, and they take reservations. No outdoor seating, though.

Second Isabellas. More casual, but excellent for Italian lunch (subs, panini, etc.) is Juliet's Market, also downtown in Frederick.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I did a bit more research and we ended up changing lunch plans. We're going to stop in Hagerstown instead of Frederick and check out the Schmankerl Stube Bavarian Restaurant. Looks perfect for our group.
