Restaurant Suggestions - Doylestown - Willow Grove Area

We are meeting friends for dinner on Saturday, June 16. Not familar with this area.
There will be 4 of us late thirties and forties. Open to any suggestions. Price is not an issue. Italian, New American, French, Seafood. No chains. Thanks.

If you put Kinnaree on your list, stick to the Thai options. Their French items are less than stellar.

In Horsham on Horsham Rd, in a litle strip mall is Kinnaree, a Thai/French BYO that is great food in a very small & intimate setting. On Easton Rd in Willow Grove is Ooka a japanese hibaci and sushi resturant. I agree that you will need reservations at all these places.
      +1 for Honey in Doylestown

I am going to concentrate on the area of Doylestown and Warrington. In Doylestown proper the best restaurant is by far Honey. It is small plates and very inventive. Slate Bleu offers good french bistro food in a nice settting... the historic Agriculture works. Best Italian is Il Mellograno in Doylestown. Further south you have a local steakhouse KC Prime (one other location in Princeton) and Villa Barrollo a good seafood and italian restaurant. I am sure folks can give you some other suggestions closer to Willow Grove. Hope you have a great dinner. Wherever you go, I would suggest reservations. We are an underserved area for restaurants relative to our population and they get crowded. Each of these places has a website, so I would suggest take a look at them and see if they strike your fancy.

you forgot to mention Augusto's. perfect location for the OP between Doylestown and willow grove.

Where else can you get bouillabaisse?

Good call. Hope they are still in business. Their website is down as is the one for Tavolo which is also their restaurant.

just to drive a stake thru that rumor for anyone finding this thread... I had dinner at Augusto's last week and they and Tavolo are very much alive. Bouillabaisse still as good as ever.

Thanks for the reminder, Dave. Haven't been to Augusto's in a few years. They used to have really good crab cakes. Last time we were there, they offered complimentary after dinner drinks. My husband had Sambuca which they lit and I had Godiva White Chocolate Liqueur. Nice touch.
