  1. I won't argue with you, but it's next to impossible for me to eat at a Shakey's these days. There used to be Shakey's up and down the Central Valley (CA), but the closest one to me is in Oroville. The Mojo potatoes are good, but not good enough for me to drive 2 hours to get 'em!

    1. Yes, the Shakey's Mojo Potatoes are quite good.

But this begs the question ... Does anyone else even make mojo potatoes a la Shakeys?

          Per their website:

          "MOJO® POTATOES

A Shakey's exclusive! Sliced potatoes, lightly battered & fried to a golden brown"

          Picture here:

Thinly cut potato wedges deep fried to perfection!

            You gotta try it!

Let me know what you think...

Are you serious? They are not even the same as they used to be. About five years ago they changed them and they are not good like they used to be. Maybe you started eating them after they changed them and don't know how they were before. I think Jacmar changed them to save money.

          3. I am shocked to learn that Shakey's Pizza even still exists! Last one I was in was in San Angelo, TX circa 1979.

            1. It's a really GOOD thing that the nearest Bunch-o-lunch is 45 minutes away from me. ;o]]]]
