Oyster Banh Mi?

Visiting your fine city for the first time in late June, coming from the SF Bay Area. And during my research of places to eat, which all the talk of Po-Boys/Seafood and Vietnamese food, I got to wondering if anyone makes a Banh Mi with Fried Oysters? If so, please point the way. Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestions...I think I might try that if I have time. I'll be staying very near the convention center, would anyone know of such a vietnamese place within short walking distance of that area.

Here's a Vietnamese sea food place with oyster poboys: http://www.bestofneworleans.com/gambit/roll-on/Content?oid=1960457. Maybe they'd take a special request. There are some other leads, maybe, in this article. Didn't get to try it on my last visit to N.O. from the Bay Area.
Here's a review of Tamarind, a brand new high end Creole/Vietnamese fusion restaurant:http://www.bestofneworleans.com/gambi...
The idea of Vietnamese/Creole fusion is tantalizing
Have you had the fried catfish banh mi at Bun Mee on Fillmore?

gumbolox my thought was the same, go to a Vietnamese place that fries seafood and ask them to do a banh mi around fried oysters.

I'm somewhat of a banh mi aficionado, and I've never heard of this. I think it if did exist, it would be a fusion take on the concept that you might find at a more upscale place. I've definitely never seen this at a Vietnamese place.
