How is this place located in downtown Castroville?
It is worth a drive from San Jose? Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's worth the drive. I know there have been some positive notes on it on this board, but I've been there a couple of times fairly recently on the way to Monterey and find it mediocre. The pulled pork is greasy and the beef ribs are dry. The ambience is sort of a western bar. The choice of beers is pretty limited. The personable owner/cook/slicer is a dead ringer for Willie Nelson.

It is probably not worth a special trip from SJ, although the brisket is pretty good. If you are driving to Monterey, Carmel, etc. it is worth a detour for lunch or dinner.
