Prospect Street Cafe closing today

I was very sad to learn that the Prospect Street Cafe is closing its doors effective today. It was the last recomendable special occasion restaurant in Bellingham. I hope Spencer moves on to something new and exciting in this area.

Never been. I guess I never will now. Always sad when restos goes belly up, esp. the good ones.

That's horrible! I had no idea. We LOVE that restaurant. They seemed to be busy whenever we were there. Did they close because of money or did Spencer want to do something else? Hopefully the latter. And I also hope Victoria lands somewhere wonderful too.

No reason was given. Spencer announced on facebook that they were closing effective today. And you're right, every time I've been there it's been packed. And everything I've eaten has been extraordinary. He says he is staying in the area, but no further information. Very very sad.
