Since hatsuhana closed on Ohio street, downtown. I need Ch help for the absolute best sushi in Chicago, hopefully downtown, but will go as far as Lincoln park if I have to. I am from Nyc and I hope there is someplace comparable to our restaurants

The absolute best is Katsu, a few miles northwest of Lincoln Park.

I would not discount Arami - in River North - either. It's also much closer to where the OP is staying.

Thanks everyone. I did try Arami and it was very good. I almost went to Roka on Clark St. But I' m glad I didn't , as I heard it was overpriced and not that good.

Regardles of opinions posted, Roka Akor is really good. It's not cheap and I would recommend the grilled items over the maki but overall its a solid, i think dependable restaurant that you just don't recommend for value.

I liked Ginza a lot, and it's also on Ohio.
