REAL, HUGE, AMAZING

I have been driving past "Benjamin Foods Supply" in Willow Grove for weeks wondering what it was.
Today as I was going by I see "OPEN" and "SALE" banners out at the sidewalk, I go in;

Wow, 200,000 sq ft of honest to goodness real restaurant equiptment, supplies and food, in my backyard. Who Knew? and Open to the PUBLIC.

You want to buy 1 stainless steel veggie peeler for .75 cents? I did. Whisks, spatulas.
Commercial Pizza ovens, coffee makers, massive 4,6,8 burner ranges, hood and vent systems, walk in coolers and freezers.

You want to buy a 25lb bag of Panko or Flour, 50lbs brown sugar. I did not but you could.
Pots, Pans, Knives, glassware, cases or skid loads of napkins, pizza boxes,cleaning supplies.
50 lb bags of potatoes, onions, cases of tomatoes, Top quality frozen foods.

Rt 263 (York Rd) and Fitzwatertown rd - across from British Car dealer

    Thanks for the info. I find the Restaurant Supply places interesting to peruse and almost always find something worth buying. Definitely will put it on my 'places to visit' list.

      Another good place in the northen burbs that's open to the public is Bova Foods on County Line Rd in Chalfont... I learned about it on this board and want to pass it on.

        Thanks for reminding me about this place Dave. Correct me if I am wrong, but Bova is food only, no restaurant equipment correct?

          No, they had kitchen equipment from knives to ovens... and front-of-house stuff. Everything a restaurant would need. including pizza peels of course.

          And they were happy to make a $12 sale to a home cook.

        Wow. Right in our own back yard, even. I'll be checking it out this weekend. Assume this is at the site of the old Sam's Club?

        I found a website, which has more info & hours: http://www.benjaminfoods.com/
