Grub Street and viruses

I really enjoy the Grub Street blog, but in the last few months, about every 5th story I click on causes pop up websites and fake windows messages other kinds of malware. My Norton confirms that's it's blocking virus and trojan attacks. I've sent a couple of emails to grub street, no interest there. Does this happen to anyone else?

Yes, that has happened to me, many times and it is very annoying.

It's not confined to Grub Street. The whole NYMag site is littered with problems - interminable load times, popups, etc. It's a little better this week than last, so I'm cautiously optimistic that someone has noticed and is working on the problem.
