  1. I love that on Boston.com it is followed by the article " finding the solution to the obesity epidemic".

Ill give a try, but unlike Sonic I don't have a great need to go asap.

That's good because it's not opening until next year!

    2. I've been to the Midtown Shake Shack a few times. It's very good, but it's still a fast food burger, albeit one with much more careful sourcing than most. It doesn't make you feel sick a half-hour later, or nauseous at the thought of what might be in it. But it's not a transcendent experience either: I'd say it's better to think of it as a cut above a Flat Patties, Tasty, or uBurger burger, but nothing to make the angels weep.

The concretes are delicious, the fries excellent. But what most impressed me was the service aspect: I've never had a burger joint employee come over and ask me how everything was and appear to actually care about my answer, and that happened to me on nearly every visit there.

I wish they'd gotten the Pink Palace spot.

I was thinking the same thing about the Pink Palace spot MC. By the way, when does Earl of Sandwich open in that spot?

I've eaten at the Midtown location too. I'm looking forward to the Shroom burger, a veggie option that beats any generic veggie burger. Not at all healthy, stuffed with cheese and fried, but so delicious! I thought the fries and shakes were just average. I'd go for the Shroom burger and although on the small side, I really liked the taste and texture of the bun.

        2. Visited their location in South Beach this past January. Good, but not a revelation in the burger world. Oddly though, there was a weird "cult-like" vibe that the staff was giving off. I got the impression that there was a Shake Shack kool-aid that they had all consumed.

          1. When it opens, it won't even be the best burger in the Chestnut Hill Shopping Center. Acquitaine's burger is much better. (Of course it's also five times the price!)

            1. And right across the street (nearly) from the new Wegmans.

I'll be visting my mom in CH much more often in the future!

              1. Burgers are ubiquitous. What's rare in these parts (no pun intended) are Vienna Beef dogs and Shake Shack's got 'em!

Second, the chicago style hot dogs!
