visiting in late June...1 night only...suggestiions?
My wife and I are going to be visiting on a Saturday in late June. Had been hoping to check out Momofuko Ko, but unfortunately they are closed for vacation. Was wondering where to eat on our one night in the city. Was thinking EMP, WD-50 or Per Se. Am interested in great/innovative food without stuffy atmosphere. No limitations in terms of type of cuisine. Am planning on picking hotel based on location of restaurant.
Thanks for your thoughts.
WD-50 is certainly innovative but not in the same class of fine dining as Per Se and EMP. IMO for the total experience the nod goes to EMP for it's wonderful blend of incredible service, personability, atmosphere, and of course, it's spectacular cuisine. Some may give the food category to Per Se (tough call) and some may give the innovation to WD-50 but for all around fantastc experience go with EMP.
For innovation, try Corton or Brooklyn Fare. Atera is also new and getting very favorable buzz.
