Good eats near Hotel Riviera (8th)

Hi everyone,

I'm staying at Hotel Riviera (55 rue des Acacias) and I'm looking for some recommendations.

I'd like to hear about some places to eat breakfast, bakeries and lunch spots.

We're on a tight budget, but if the resto is amazing I'll consider it!

Thank you!

It's off the avenue des Ternes in the 17th, not the 8th. The rue Poncelet and rue Bayen market streets just around the corner should give you enough choices for cafés, bakeries, etc as well as a delightful snapshot of Paris life. Except on Mondays when everything is closed. You can also pick up the fixings for a picnic in the lovely Parc Monceau (maybe a 1 km walk... or to save your footsie, a short hop on the #30 bus from place des Ternes)

For lunch, I'd head straight to rue d'Armaillé where you can get a 15 € "formule" at the very tiny Zinc Caius or a 42 € meal (lunch or dinner) at the much larger Caius on the other side of ther street. Caius is really a very superior sort of place with an imaginative menu and a delightful chef-owner. Much much recommended. But sigh, Caius is closed at the weekend, Zinc Caius on Sun & Mon.

Thank you! Wow, the 17th. I was way off.
