Silver Spring

I'd like to purchase a restaurant gift certificate ($100) for a couple who is moving to Silver Spring. Any ideas? Thanks.

Sergio's, Rays, Jackie's all might have something. Then there is Oriental East or the chains (Red Lobster, Nando Peri Peri, etc.). I can't remember the wine shop by the hardware store and Whole Foods, but it's a kinda fun place to grab a glass and a flat bread.

Ah.. I fogot Pacci's pizzeria and Crisfield seafood. Crisfeld might be the only place in the area that has Leinenkugel on tap.

"the wine shop by the hardware store" ... Adega Wine Cellars and Cafe. Great place and they have really good deals during the week for couples (bottle of wine, 2 entrees, and an appetizer for only 40). I'm unsure if they do gift cards though

I wouldn't go with email if I were you - I'd call. Websites and email are things that restaurants check occasionally when time allows. The phone needs to be answered for their business.

Plus, what are you going to do - send your credit card via email? You're going to have to call anyway - I'd start there.

Your right it's a crazy process. This is the way it works. I called 8407, they then email you a form which you either scan into your computer or fax back to them. I assume they then send you a gift certificate via snail mail.

That sounds about right, unfortunately. Some places will take the info for the form over the phone and send you the GC.

In the end, it's usually easier to go into the restaurant and buy the GC in person.
