Liquor stores - Manhattan delivery area

Hi all,

Forgive me if this is the incorrect area to post this, but I live on the UWS and am having some difficulty tracking down certain types of liquor as admittedly I am on a bit of a Cocktail rampage :)

The two things I am after are:

Sezerac
A large selection of Rye

I've been able to find a few places but they seem to be quite overpriced relative to other online sites (which unfortunately won't deliver to NYC).

Any guidance/help would be appreciated if anyone's come across this before or regularly uses an online site for their Liquor needs.

PJ Wine delivers (over $150) and they're pretty reasonable! I used to live up there and go in person (they are in Inwood), but I know they deliver to the UWS.

Used to be that PJs didn't deliver liquor, only wine. Sometimes if you ordered a bunch of wine and wanted a bottle or two of liquor they'd throw it in. I'd call them to check.

You want Sazerac Rye Whiskey? The 6 yr or the 18 yr?

I usually go to Astor Wines for my rye buying needs; they have very helpful staff & can order something if they don't have it on the shelf at the moment.

Their web site does not always list all the things they have available, so you have to go in person.

They do deliver to the UWS. Free delivery from Battery Park to 125th Street (Mon. through Sat.) on orders that exceed $75 pre-tax.

        Thanks kathryn - $75 shouldn't be a problem :)

And yes - both the 6 and 18...one for cocktails and the other for sipping.

just checked them out online - good prices and reasonably good selection. Thanks! My penchant for old fashioned's has really had me going through the bourbon and rye as of late...and the occasional scotch. In fact...methinks its about that time now.

while not online, it might be worth a trip to bottle&soul on lexington@81 st. approximately 60 bourbons, lots of rye and some interesting single malts. give it a try.

Thanks for this tip. I usually go to Astor for their respectable rye and bourbon selection, but am trying to find some place closer to home. I was lucky enough to find Redemption rye at my local shop, curiously curated with the amari for some reason. I'll check out Bottle & Soul soon.
