Mothers Day in New Hope/Lahaska?

  • 5

I am going to spend the day in Peddlers Village and New Hope with my family on Mothers day with my Husband and daughter 21 and son 16. Any suggestions for a nice lunch or early dinner/
Nothing to stuffy or proper.

  1. I have gone to Waterlilies on 202 near Peddlers Village for Mothers Day before and it was decent. You could check it out, but I am not sure if they would still have room for reservations.

I really hesitate to suggest any restaurant on Mother's Day.,Peddler's Village and New Hope will be mobbed.Buttonwood Grill is a new gastropub in Peddler's Village. I have heard some good things about it. My recommendation would be to avoid New Hope like the plague. It will be mobbed.

That is what I was thinking too cwdonald. Mother's Day is the busiest restaurant day of the year.

I agree that reservations are a must tomorrow and that your selected area will be inundated with locals and tourists alike. My mom detested the long waits for the "reserved" table, the limited prix fixe menus and the inflated prices. She was a pragmatist who preferred to go out on Saturday night, get the flowers and gifts on Sunday, have us make her dinner (often the first barbeque of the season) and call it a wrap.

Your mom sounds like she was a smart sensible woman CP. On the other hand if you helped cooked the barbecue it was probably very tasty. Jfitzpatrick if you really want to go out would you consider ending up in Doylestown? I've had two very nice meals there in the past week, one at Thai Spice (elephant shaped teapot that pours out of the trunk!) and Five Guys. I know it's a chain but the Doylestown one is very good.
