Italian recommendation needed --- Soho/WestVillage/Tribeca

My husband and I will be in NYC this weekend and we love good Italian food. Would like to be able to make a reservation....any suggestions out there? Thanks!!

Is this for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday? Are you willing to eat early or late? It's quite last minute to be looking for a reservation for 2 people at 8pm on Saturday night especially in those neighborhoods.

What is the amount you wish to spend before tax, tip, and drinks? It's best to give a figure that is for food only.

Without knowing your parameters, I did a quick search of OpenTable and found tables at:
Caffe Falai
Dell'anima - off peak times only
Il Buco Alimentari - Noho, one 7pm table, I'd grab it quick if you want to eat there
Peasant - 6:30 or 9:30
Rubirosa - 5:45

Friday --- willing to eat early but probably don't want a reservation past 9:30...would be fine spending between $100-125 on food
