There's a new THAI restaurant on the west side of VICTORIA PARK between Eglinton & Lawrence

Whizzed by it so quickly on the way to the bakery that I didn't have a chance to jot down the name. Has anyone tried it yet or am I taking one for the team again?

Well I haven't had a chance to dine at Thai Everest yet. I did pop my head in to see if it's a place where I would dine in. The answer is yes.

They have booth seating down one side, a decent selection of bargain wines, a policy to only serve alcohol with food, and the owner seems quite nice. All points on their side to make dining in, at least to start, a relaxing one

They also offer takeout or free delivery over $20. The opening specials are no longer available, but they do have daily specials. It's located in the strip plaza next door to the north side of the plaza with Armenian Kitchen and Blue Water Curry & Roti. Here's the menu for those who are curious.

I saw that today, too. Please let me know if it is worth the trip from Woodbine & Danforth. Would be great to have a yummy Thai option in the east end.

Went there for lunch today THAI EVEREST and enjoyed it very much....had the Thai Lemon Soup...delicious....chicken samosas...delicious and the chicken pad thai which my husband liked...I really can't comment on it as I'm not a lover of pad thai. \we will go again sometime soon for dinner and try other items. The atmosphere is not great but I dine for good food not for atmosphere...as long as the place is clean. The owner chef is a very nice guy and very obliging.

I just hope the food preparation at Thai Everest will be consistent in flavour. So many times when I try a new place and like it I return to find the food just doesn't taste quite as good....keeping my fingers crossed for this place.
