Looking for a few recommendations for dinner in Westfield or vicinity. Would prefer byo and entrees under $25...any cuisine except Indian but would prefer Italian, Latino or American over Asian. Thanks for any recs.

I've found the places in Westfield to be pretty tired the last few times I've been there (Theresa's, Mojave Grill, esp)...

I'd suggest Pairings in Cranford (BYO) and even though you're said you're over Asian food, Avenue East has some interesting options!

Haven't been to Pairings in several months, but it was excellent the two times I was there. On Wednesday nights, they have a prix fixe menu, BYO, that is a great deal.

Great deal is an understatement, imo!

Isabella's or Theresa's are pretty good. BYOB too.

A Toute Heure is fabulous, but pricier. We've found Italian Pantry hit or miss - had one great meal there, another awful. Theresa's in Westfield is nice, BYO, not too expensive - they don't take reservations. One user recommended Emma's - we go there religiously for Brick oven pizza, but pasta can be overcooked... their calamari is also great.

        Enjoy!

EMMA'S IN CRANFORD has the best pizza IMO........I had their delicious Spaghetti Bolonese
and asked for "Al dente" and it came out exactly that

There's also Italian Pantry in Cranford. A Toute Heure is great but is usually packed on the weekends. Also, A Toute Heure is on the higher side, price-wise.

For Italian in Cranford there's Trattoria Bel Paese which is byo and reasonably priced.

                  Bel Paese is cash only.

                    Bel Paese also accepts AmEx.

Even tho you said "over Asian" I can definately recommend Splash of Thai off South Avenue (across from the train station). It's a byob and entrees are all under $25.00 from what I recall. Excellent food and lovely service. We enjoyed their lunch specials ($8.00 for four samplers and soup) just last week. Reservations recommended for Fri-Sun.

Whenever I am in Westfield, we always go to Mojave Grill. I really enjoy the place and the freshness of the dishes. BYO, too!

Boulevard Bistro on South Avenue at Boulevard. Popular with locals. BYO Italian, food can be very good, prices are very fair, within your requirements. Outdoor seating.
