After Graduation Late Lunch in Baltimore

amethiste May 6, 2012 09:19 AM

I am graduating from University of Baltimore at the Lyric on Wednesday May 16th. The ceremony is at 10:30 and I anticipate being done around 1 or 2 o'clock. I will have a group of about 8. I'd like a place that is moderately priced. As far as cuisine, my family is pretty flexible. We have cars so we don't have a problem going outside of the downtown. Can anyone recommend a good place for lunch?

Gertrude's at the Baltimore Museum of Art may be a good choice. Not a long drive and plenty of parking. You can dine outdoors weather permitting. If interested, please make reservations asap. This is the season for graduation parties, wedding rehearsals, etc.

Also, Tabrizi's in downtown Baltimore. The restaurant is so lovely, located on the water and a great menu. They specialize in party-type events. FoiGras

Sorry about this-but I just went to Tabrizi's website and apparently the restaurant isn't open for lunch. FoiGras

We went to Miss Shirley's in Roland Park. It was the perfect way to cap off a great day. The food was great. I strongly recommend the Born on the ay Salad with fried soft shell crab, fried green tomatoes, mixed greens, bacon, roasted corn, goat cheese, and tomato vinaigrette.
