Sushi on Westside

I used to live in West Hollywood, where I was close to my favorite sushi restaurant, Wa Sushi on La Cienega and Holloway. Now that I live on the Westside, I've struggled to find a restaurant that offers excellent sushi as well as creative dishes. The restaurants I've been to have either been very traditional (no rolls) or too trendy.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Check out Kiriko (on the upper end) and U-Zen (on the lower end).

Kiriko is on Sawtelle just around the corner N of Olympic and U-Zen is on Santa Monica Blvd. just a block east of Bundy on the N side of the street.
