Need W. Village no res. place for tonight

Going for an early dinner tonight and don't have a reservation anywhere, so since we will be eating at 5:45 I figured we'd likely have our choice of places that don't accept reservations. My usual go-to is Blue Ribbon Bakery, but we were just there a couple of weeks ago so we'd like to go somewhere else. Suggestions? I'm open as to cuisine type. Preferences for places within a few blocks of the 1 stops at Houston, Christopher, or 14th St.

Let me add one caveat: not a meat-centric place. One of us needs some meatless dishes, though seafood is fine. Keep the recs coming! :-)
