Inexpensive lobster hits the grocery stores

Metro has 1-1 1/4 lb for $6/lb

IGA the same

Gonna boil up a few outdoors on the morrow (old man weather, don't let me down)

    There's just enough for one lobster roll (gu├ędille) in a 1 pounder, though :-(

      its awhile since I cooked one, how long do you cook it for in the boiling water....

          That is if you like undercooked lobster. i would rec.12 min for 1i/4lb.

          or better yet just parboil for 5 mins and finish on the grill/in the oven with ++++ butter + garlic or tarragon etc

            cut alive, put in aluminum foil with a bit of oil (or butter), herbs, garlic and dump on the grill for a dozen or so minutes.

              Actually, I like a combination of these two: boil for 5-7 minutes (sometimes eggs are still gloopy black), cut in half, remove coral, place meat side up on live charcoal, drizzle with garlic butter, tent with foil while flames still kicking.
              Beautiful blackened shell, hints of smoky flavor, still moist, and delicious.

            Bigger lobsters are a dollar more at IGA.
