50th anniversary venue for my parents

My parent's 50th anniversary is in June; we're looking for a great restaurant in the cities for a lunchtime meal for about 30. Needs a party room/separate room, ideally a patio (but not necessary). Great food a must. Any fun extra stuff would be cool...Ideas????

If we assume your folks live in the Twin Towns, where do they live and what restaurants do they like? Are you looking for a restaurant alternative to a more old school picnic style get together or something more formal?

They do; I live in Northfield and don't get up there to eat out much. They liked Jax and they like Frost's in St. Paul. I'm kinda looking at Nicollet Island Inn. Anyone have any experiences there?

How about Jax? It's old school, but they have great food and very nice private rooms. As well as a patio.

It is nice, but we went there late last summer for dad's 80th birthday. I was hoping for something different as I'm the one who doesn't eat out much in the cities.

I know it isn't comprehensive, and the quality on there ranges greatly, but may be a good place to start. I'm sure others will chime in with more specific recommendations.
