Best Steakhouse in LV for Steak Enthusiasist - In Town 5/3 - 5/4
I am a single diner looking to experience a great steak. I have been to Delmonicos and Cut. Looking for reommendations as I will be in town tonight and tomorrow night. Short notice trip. Also if there are any other recommendations on great new places in town. Wife and I was in town in November and dined at Joel Robuchon... Unreal experience. Thanks in advance.
I've been to SW Steakhouse at the Wynn on my last two trips and both times was a great evening. The wine list at the Wynn is overwhelming (and most bottles over $100) but the sommeliers have been incredibly helpful and spot on when we tell them our under $100 budget. Last time we went for the SO's birthday we felt like everything was perfectly executed again. The creamed corn and au gratin potatoes were to dye for plus we shared a tomahawk steak that was featured that evening. For a steakhouse I have been very impressed both times.
Also...in comparison to Cut, which we went to last year as well, we really enjoyed SW's atmosphere, steaks, and service more, although Cut may have the edge on appetizers. My server at Cut also pulled the move where i asked for a house cab when our bottle was finished and it ended up being $25. Maybe that was their only cab but I despise when servers pull that sort of thing - they know if I'm asking for a house cab I'm not expecting to pay $25.
Carnevino at Palazzo. Riserva steak for intensely dry-aged flavor, 180 days, an experience for sure. If they're out (not always available), BBL 60-day is awesome too. There's a beef tasting menu offered, perfect if you're dining alone. Can't go wrong at Carnevino if you're looking for steaks.
I am long time fan of Lawry's Prime Rib. A bit of the main drag but the food, ambiance and service are top notch.
