Baby Friendly Restaurants for Foodie Travellers (kosher options if possible)

We are two couples who are coming to Chicago for 3 days with our babies (7 months and 5 months). We are all foodies and need recs for the 6 of us (early dinners, brunches and lunches).

I imagine Chicago to be a mecca for family style dining.

I would also be interested in suggested kosher restaurant options (1 group member is kosher, though they would eat fish or vegetarian out)

Cheers and thank you...

Where will you be staying adn will you have a car? This will help provide choices - definitely being in Chicago you will need try our pizza - there excellent choices all over - you can go to the birthplace of Chicago Deep Dish Pizze - Pizzeria Uno (do not confuse it with the chain that is spread across the US - this is the real deal) or its sister restaurant Pizzeria Due - other excellent choices for Deep Dish incluse Lou Malnati's, Pizzano's Gino's East or for stuffed pizza Giordanos and Bacinos -

In terms of kosher there is not much downtown - just two lunch options - the Metro Klub and the Chicago Loop Synagogue that brings sandwiches down from Skokie - The majority of the Kosher restaurants are in the north neighborhood of West Rogers Park, Skoie/Evanston or Highland Park - IMO the top choices are Shallots or Taboun both in Skokie - other places I like include Kens Diner, Tein Li Chow (excellent take out chinese), The Sandwich Club and Mizrahi Grill - here is list of Kosher restaurants in Chicago from the CRC - http://www.crcweb.org/guide_chicago.p...

Being Chicago you will have to try Chicago style pizza and the pizzerias are definitely kid friendly - suggestions Lou Malnati's, Pizzanos, Pizzeria Uno and Due, to name a few -

In terms of kosher offerings - there is not much downtown - There is not much downtown - just two lunch spots - the Metro Klub which is on Madison in the Crown Plaza hotel and the Chicago Loop synagogue which brings down sandwiches from a restaurant in Skokie -
Most options for kosher are in the north neighborhood of West Rogers Park, Skokie/Evanston or HIghland Park. - Shallots Bistrom Taboun Grill IMO are the best - other options that are good as well are Kens Diner, The Sandwich club, Tein Li Chow and EJs Pizzeria - some these will deliver to downtown =
