Sweet Bacon syrup.

Yesterday I made sweet bacon syrup, it's a bit like bacon dipped in maple syrup x10. I'm very proud it tastes amazing no yucky fat congealed on top. So yeah, I feel epic. Now what do you with it, any suggestions? I'm thinking Ice cream.

    1. So ... How do you make bacon syrup?

      The only thing I can think of is rendering and pouring off most of the fat and then poaching the bacon in white sugar simple syrup or brown sugar simple syrup or maple syrup. Then maybe letting it sit in the fridge for few days to further intensify the syrup and maybe scraping off any fat that rises to the surface.

      I do have a few thoughts on what it could go on:
      butter pecan ice cream
      pancakes or waffles
      I have heard of some cocktails that use bacon syrup Torani has a new bacon syrup. They suggest milkshakes, manhattans, old-fashioneds and bloody mary's. Here is a link to some of their recipes:
