Mother's Day Brunch

Hi. My mom is coming up from Florida for Mother's day. We are going to see Spiderman at 3 and I am looking for a great place to take her for brunch. I know it is last minute to make a reservation. I am looking for something nice and yummy but not stuffy, somewhat close to Foxwood Theatre for the show.

Thank you in advance.

Did you look on OpenTable to see what is even available? You can search for TimesSq/Theater District too, if you want to be close to theater. Do the heavy lifting by searching for options then come back here and solicit advice on what is available.

I did look on opentable. I am looking for French possibly. A few places that have openings are Chez Josephine and Marseille. Any feedback on those?

Marseille is quite liked on this board as a theater district option. I've liked it in the past but never been for brunch. (Search in box in upper right corner for better informed opinions than I can offer.)

I had brunch there last year and liked it very much.

Chez Josephine - that's the place in Harlem on Lenox Av. just north of 125 St., isn't it? If so, it's OK, nothing great.

No, it's not. OP is looking in theater area: 414 West 42nd Street.

It's owned by Josephine Bkaer's son and has been there a while.

Oh that place. I've never been there.
