I feel like we just had this thread so you may want to search. But my vote is Taylor Shellfish in the Melrose Market, esp during 2-4 when they wave the shucking fee. Then Elliott's during happy hour.

Have you been to Elliott's happy hour recently?
It may just be me, but I went a few weeks back and it's not what it was before and just not worth the hassle... I'm not recommending it anymore except to self-proclaimed "foodies" who may be excited about such a crowded annoying thing that other people are doing.

The new one I've been meaning to check is the Innkeeper over in Belltown. They have a $1 oyster happy hour and I recall seeing kumamotos are part of their selection.

Had the $1 kumamotos at The Innkeeper this past Tuesday. Not sure if it was a consequence of May Day, but it was empty (and our 1st time). Also had the pork avocado tacos & chorizo quesadilla. All very good, but I wonder if their menu is too broad...
          Yummy Moscow Mules too!

I haven't been to Elliott's in 6+ months....shoot, it would be a shame if the oyster quality isn't what it was. As for crowds, well, going to any good downtown happy hour is about beating crowds, that just comes with the territory unfortunately.

Shucker's in the Fairmont HH, 3-5pm, $1 oysters, but unlike many other oyster HHs (Elliotts) their entire oyster menu (about 9) are available. Also free parmesan crisps and bar snacks. And great service.

Unfortunately, the oysters at Shucker's happy hour are up to $1.50 each now. Still not a bad deal though, considering the free snacks and great service.

I went to shuckers today. Excellent oysters 1.50 a piece. you can only pick from limited choice of oysters. But all were very good. Best was deep bay oyster. Thanks for recommendation.
