Based on some of the recommendations I have seen on chowhound for Alberto's posted by Capecodguy and a few others we decided to try it tonught for my wife's birthday. It certainly met all expectations. I had the Veal Saltimbocca and my wife had the Veal Tuscan. Both were excellent..........thin tender veal scallopini. The Veal Tuscan was a veal braciole stuffed with lobster, prosciutto, fontina cheese in a red peppercorn sauce.................delicious! We topped it off with a Tiramisu which is apparently made on the premises. This place reminded me very much in service and food quality of a great Italian restaurant we often ate at in New Haven CT called TRES SCALLINI in Wooster Square section of New Haven which is Italian heaven!
Again thanks to the Capecod guy and others for the comments on this place..............we will be going back!
Nice report. Glad you enjoyed it! I'm often torn between the veal Tuscany and the veal Capri. Similar dishes , but instead of being stuffed, the capri is topped with lobster and asparagus and pink peppercorn sauce. A tad less, but still rich dish, than the Tuscany.
I still maintain that Alberto's is consistantly one of the best of a small handful of excellent restaurants in the mid-Cape area. Looks like you concur.
