Cooking classes in/near Scottsdale?

Hi everyone - we have a small family reunion in Scottsdale next month and I'm looking for a "ladies day out" activity. Spa is an obvious one but wondering if there is a luxury resort or upscale restaurant in the area that offers a cooking/tasting class? I'm not looking for a culinary school but a resort or hotel that would offer an upscale ambiance and experience.

thanks!

Thai Gourmet House offers individualized, private instruction as well as group classes. I cannot recommend it enough! It is run by Praparat Sturlin, a world-class Thai chef in her beautiful commercial kitchen in her home.
My husband and I had a day-long cooking lesson from her a few years ago, and it was one of the best cooking classes we ever attended. We still talk about it.
It is expensive, but contact her to see if you can work something out for your group. The food is out of this world and it she makes it fun and educational. Here's the website: www.thaigourmethouse.com

The Sanctuary on Camelback has a Lunch & Learn series, but it's in July/August. Call them & see if you can schedule something special for your group.

I know the Four Seasons used to do something like a class or "shadow the chef" although it is not mentioned on their website. Give the concierge a call to inquire.

Good luck. If you find something good, please let us know.
