foodie from NYC loved Elate

I loved this restaurant. This is a real locavore place run by a passionate chef and we had wonderful meals while staying at Hotel Felix. The food combinations were exciting and for "small plates", not that small. Scallops with kimchee (more like elegant slaw) were outstanding as was eggplant appetizer. Prices not too steep either. Yum.

  1. Hi. I am a foodie from Philly. We're looking for interesting places anywhere in the Chicago area and this sounds good and fairly near the tentative hotel we're staying at. Where else did you eat? So far, we only have a res at Topolobampo because a visit there every time we go to Chicago is obligatory.

BTW, recent NYC favorites are Betel, Jung Sik, La Mar Cebeceria and Pylos. We're going to Ma Peche Saturday. Just mentioning so you know if our tastes might be similar.
