Baltimore- last minute Monday night restaurant rec!

I have some friends in town tonight and can't find a restaurant open on Monday that seems to fit our needs! We're looking for something along the lines of Salt/Bluegrass/Peter's Inn/Tapas Teatro- cool, fun spaces with great food, in the downtown/Fells/Federal Hill/Canton/Midtown, etc. regions (i.e. nothing too far away from downtown, not Hampden/Roland Park, etc.). Two non-drinkers and a pregnant lady are coming so alcohol is not important and no sushi.

Any suggestions?

  1. Sotto Sopra and the B&O Brasserie are excellent places. FoiGras

    1. Thanks! Our friends had been told Sascha's 527 was excellent but we'd heard that it wasn't that good. Any thoughts on that?

Certainly SS and B&O are much better than Sascha's. Sascha's isn't bad, but it's nothing special, either.

      2. SS and B&O look slightly pricier/maybe not as casual than we'd like to go tonight. Any opinions about something around the price points of Ten Ten, Fork & Wrench, Mezze or Tapas Adela?

        1. I was there 2 weeks ago and had an amazing dinner at Thames Street Oyster House in Fells. See about availability of eating upstairs which is way more quieter than the bar upstairs. Very diverse menu with many seafood options (all cooked) and some other non-seafood dishes. I personally loved both entrees that we ordered, crabcake and ciopinno.
