Is this worth it?

I walk by it regularly, but haven't been back in years, nor do I even know anyone who's mentioned it. Very modern atmosphere (new Ritz: all tall windows, cold lighting, exposed steel bones), and having to walk by the sights and smells of a health club on the way in isn't exactly appealing, either. Current exec chef has worked his way up through the ranks there. It's a pretty good deal as their menu prices go.

one of my friends just emailed me to tell me of her unhappy experience at Blu, but at 49 dollars, it sounds like it is worth finding out for oneself.
