Good mexican restaurant near the Westin Bonaventure?
I will be entertaining out of town relatives on Cinco de Mayo and would like to take them to a really good, authentic Mexican restaurant. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Rivera is the real gem downtown, and much more convenient to the Bonaventure.
I like Garibaldi, but Rivera is in another category, meaning higher quality, and a bit more expensive, but it does have a full liquor license, which I do not believe Garibaldi has, meaning it has beer & wine only. www.riverarestaurant.com

re: carter
I agree. The food at Rivera was delicious. Pricey, but the food was worth it. BUT after spending nearly $900 with a party of 14, the server and mgmt refused to split our bill more than four ways. Complaints to management did not yield satisfactory results – they offered us a tasting dinner (for 2!), but we all live across the country. We were very disappointed, and because of this, I would never recommend this restaurant to a large dinner party.
