Help -- Last minute dim sum in south bay

I should be good, rather than exotic. THREE 14 year olds.

Thank you so much. We are in Hermosa and Mom is out of town, so we can do something outside of american.

With three 14 year olds, my suggestion would be to try Grand China Buffet on Hawthorne in Torrance. They could choose whatever they personally like and there is a limited choice of dim sum (not of the best quality) but the variety is endless for other things. Plus, lunch is pretty reasonable.

If you want to stay in the area, PV Palace in Lomita or Sea Empress in Gardena are the best options.

Probably the ONLY places in the southbay area other than Szchewan on PCH that serve hot cart dim sum? Sea Empress would be my personal choice but it is a little bit more expensive and busier.

Ocean Seafood in Chinatown is only a 20 minute ride from the south bay on a sunday, but if you drive just a little farther to SGV and Sea Harbour you can't do better.

Now if it's ramen you wanted that's another story....

seconded. the dim sum options around here are disappointing.

aside from ramen (jidaiya, mottainai, yamadaya, etc.), i'd suggest curry at coco ichibanya for the kids. i like it mild with crispy chicken and lots of carrots.
